Job Description

Position Purpose:

  • To gather/ develop and analyze data information to assist the Office of COO in making well informed decisions.
  • Develop analysis and write reports to continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate and analyse financial and other University data (budgets, income statement forecasts, projections, student data etc) taking into account University’s goals and financial standing
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports for better decision making.
  • Develop financial models, conduct bench marking and process analysis
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast and projection models
  • Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound analysis
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Preference will be given to the applicants with hands on SAP knowledge
  • Academic / user end / advisory / consultancy experience will be a plus
  • Proven working experience as a Financial and data Analyst
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
  • Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
